My research focuses on improving healthcare delivery in underserved communities through rigorous evaluation of innovative approaches, with particular emphasis on digital health technologies and AI-assisted clinical decision support.

AI-Assisted Clinical Decision Support

Evaluating the real-world impact of AI-assisted diagnostic tools in clinical settings, with focus on equity, bias, and sociotechnical implementation challenges.

Includes work on sepsis prediction systems, maternal health AI, and primary care diagnostic support in low-resource settings.

Examining how telemedicine, health information systems, and collective intelligence approaches can improve healthcare access and quality in underserved populations.

Research spans rural China, sub-Saharan Africa, and the United States, with particular focus on maternal and child health.

Value-Based Care & Payment Reform

Studying the design and implementation of value-based payment models, including provider incentives, risk adjustment, and equity implications.
